Darker nights mean knitted delights! Combat those grey skies with the warming glow that only beautiful yarn can bring as we embrace vivid colours this winter; bright violets of agate and raw opal, hot corals, pearly blues and tasty neon pops.

Taking inspiration from gems, geological forms, and geometric shapes, our designers have created a set of knits with a strong graphic feel. Intriguing texture and colour comes courtesy of fair isle, two-colour brioche, stripes, and slipped stitches.  All set against a series of hand painted backdrops made for us by abstract artist Kim Whiteside, this issue aims to satisfy your colour cravings!

Our regular columnist Anna Maltz reflects on the process of learning and re-learning from our knits, and Francesca Baldry is covering the hot button topic of , well, buttons. And if all this talk of colour has you seeking guidance, our Issue 22 guest editor Juju Vail is at hand with her article on how to choose and combine your favourite shades for the ultimate project.

Top it all off with Rebecca Lawrence’s jewel-toned winter salad (because of course your sustenance needs to be as kaleidoscopic as your knits) and you’ll find the perfect remedy for the winter blues, all in one magazine!
