We can start to count the days down to Rhinebeck on our fingers and we couldn’t be more excited. So we thought we’d let you in on some of the fun stuff you can look forward to Pom Pom-wise! First off, you may already know that we have an absolutely amazing lineup of designers who will be there signing copies of the magazine!
Quite the little group of superstar designers, no? And just in case you missed our last post, here’s the schedule – make sure you mark down your faves on your list of must-sees! (Please note: Rachel Coopey’s and Allison Jane’s timings have swapped since our last Rhinebeck post.)
Saturday, October 17th
9.30 – 10.30 Kiyomi Burgin
11.00 – 12.00 Joji Locatelli
12.30 – 2.30 Olga Buraya-Kefelian
3.00 – 5.00 Allison Jane
Sunday, October 18th
10.00 – 12.00 Bristol Ivy
12.30 – 2.30 Caarin Fleischmann
3.00 – 5.00 Rachel Coopey
The second amazing thing about our appearance at Rhinebeck is that not only will we be the first magazine to exhibit, but also that we will be having a super-special, exclusive, pre-release of the new winter issue just for Rhinebeck attendees. And the new issue is a doozy. Kiyomi Burgin, Olga Buraya-Kefelian, Bristol Ivy, and Rachel Coopey (amongst others) all have designs in this one – you’re not going to want to miss it!
We can now also announce that we’ll be hosting giveaways throughout the weekend for those of you who visit us at the booth! That means that every time you visit the booth for a signing you can be entered into a raffle to win some amazing yarns featured in the new winter issue! We’ve got four wonderful yarn companies lined up so there will be four chances to win!
First up is enough Zealana Kauri in the gorgeous colour Kea to knit the (for now, top-secret) scarf from the new winter issue! Stop by the booth between 9.30 and 12.30 pm on the Saturday for a chance to win!
Next up will be Jill Draper Makes Stuff Mohonk, which is used in a new hat pattern by Olga Buraya-Kefelian! Get yourself to the booth for Olga’s signing from 12:30 pm on Saturday and enter to win Jill’s yarn any time between then and 5 pm!
On Sunday, if you stop by the booth to see Bristol Ivy, you can also enter to win 2 skeins of Julie Asselin’s beautiful Leizu DK any time between 10 am and 1 pm! Julie’s yarn is used in a new cowl pattern by co-host of our Pomcast, Sophie Scott, and features in the new winter issue!
And last but not least, we have a giveaway from the Queen of Warm Feet herself, Rachel Coopey! Rachel will be signing on Sunday afternoon, as she has a gorgeous pair of socks in the new issue, featuring her very own, brand-spanking-new (still kinda top-secret) sock yarn, Socks, Yeah! So come enter to win 2 skeins any time between 1 pm and close of the festival and have your copy of PPQ signed by Rachel between 3 and 5 pm.
And if that wasn’t enough excitement to keep you going for the weekend, we’re so thrilled to be welcoming the effervescent Julie Asselin herself as Pomcast’s Rhinebeck Special Correspondent! Julie will be out and about interviewing everyone from well-known designers and yarn producers to festival-goers out shopping! This is Julie – be sure to say hi if you see her!
Julie has been kind enough to also donate another set of skeins to make Sophie’s cowl from the new issue, so for those of you who can’t make it, we’ll be running a giveaway for you next weekend so you can get in on the fun! More details to come :)
That’s all the Rhinebeck news that’s fit to print (for now…!) so if you’re going to be in town, be sure to come and see us! We’re exhibiting with Merritt Bookstore in Author’s Alley in Building B. See you then!
