Just over a week to go to Pomfest! Very soon you’ll be browsing the marketplace of woolly delights, listening to your choice of fascinating talks and hanging out with your Pom Pom pals. We’ll also have new and exclusive merchandise on the Pom Pom stand, including our Pomfest show guide (currently being perused by Amy!)
So, as you ready your travel knitting to head to Pomfest, we’ve got our festival top tips and information – see you there!
If you’ve already bought your ticket, you will have been sent an email with a barcode. You can either print this out or show this email on your phone when you arrive. Tickets are also available on the door.
Please note the difference between the ticket options for the weekend; a ticket for Friday or Saturday means access to the marketplace and talks, a Friday night Pomcast Live ticket does not include market place access as this will not be open.
Though some vendors will have card facilities, we advise bringing cash. Handily, you’ll find a cash machine (that doesn’t charge) in the corner shop ‘Wapping Supermarket’ on the corner of Wapping Lane a 2 minute walk from the venue.
FOOD + DRINK
If all that Pomfest-ing has made you hungry, you can then be PomFEAST-ing! We’ve teamed up with trendy street food company Kerb to bring you fresh and tasty Greek food from Kalimera on the Friday and Saturday. Joining on the Saturday will be chickpea delights from Hummus Bros and throughout the festival you can get your caffeine fix and sweet treats courtesy of Roots Coffee, thanks to catering team Feast It.
FRIDAY NIGHT POMCAST LIVE
During Pomcast live food will be available from Hummus Bros and if you fancy a drink, the evening is bring your own booze. You’ll find a Co-Op near the venue if you want to purchase any libations. Much like our party last Christmas, we’ll be providing cups, ice and mixers. During the evening’s entertainment you’ll have the chance to win some fun prizes too – and don’t forget your dancing shoes!
If you’ve entered your latest project on our Ravelry KAL forum as usual, you’ll be in with in chance with winning some prizes when this knit along closes 28th July. Make sure you’re wearing your Pom Pom finest at the weekend as we’ll also have a fun photo backdrop for you to model your knits and get the ultimate project photo – to win the ultimate Pom prize!
See you soon!
