Pomfest John Arbon Stand with Equilibrium Cardigan

What a blast Pomfest was! It was a veritable celebration of all things Pom and we feel so lucky to have been able to share it with all you wonderful knitters. We’ve said it many times (but let’s say it again) THANK YOU to all our visitors, vendors and volunteers. Here’s too another five years!

Did you miss the Pomfest magic or simply want to relive it all again? We had the talented Agnese Sanvito snapping away during the festival, so you can have a peruse through our Pomfest photo album. See if you can spot yourself browsing at a stall or listening to a talk – and if you weren’t there see how many Pom patterns you can find being worn! You’ll also see several hilarious shots from Pomcast Live, the recording of which is being released later this week.

Now that we’re post Pomfest, this also means that our knit along is drawing to a close. We’ve extended the deadline to Monday 31st July, so you can get a snap of that latest project and post on our FO thread to be in with a chance of winning a prize from our wonderful sponsors, including some Devonia delights from headline KAL sponsors John Arbon Textiles! Perhaps these Pomfest pics will inspire you to cast off your latest PPQ project.

A few of our Pomfest marketplace highlights…

Thanks again to our kind Pomfest sponsors Loop, our Pomcast live sponsors Fig Tree Yarn, and our talk sponsors The Yarn Collective.

Here are some snaps of our fab Pom squad speakers…

Plus lots of PPQ merch, samples, and SO much yarn…

And finally our Pomfest party within a party – Pomcast Live!!! So many giggles, so much knitting, bellinis, and a stage invasion…

One of the best highlights of the party was seeing all of you in your finest Pom Pom knits. For this special Pomfest KAL our lovely sponsors are providing the prizes, so not only do we have some Devonia delights from John Arbon Textiles, we also have gorgeous Julie Asselin yarn to make the Shindig Shawl, a cute pouch and coaster set from Kettle Yarn Co., two skeins of La Bien Aimée merino singles in Yellow Brick Road and Casseopeia, plus the awesome SocksYeah! from Coop Knits too so you can have a festival on your feet.

Here’s some projects that we spotted around the show…

Gosh what beautiful photos. Also HELLO, very glad to see that my moment of triumph (failing to teach knitting muggles how to wind a ball of yarn from a skein during Pomcast Live) was captured several times over.

I had so much fun – thank you for organising and can’t wait for the next one. x

Just a quick note – all the logos at the end of this entry lead to John Arbon Textiles page instead of Julie Asselin, CoOp knits, la bien aimee and Kettle Yarn Co.
