Reached a hiccup during you latest WIP? Or about to start and dreading the final flourish of that certain technique that seems too daunting? Never fear, the Pom Pom tutorial videos are here! We wanted to make clear, step by step visual guides to help you bring those beautiful Pom Pom projects to life and we’ve been busy creating more for you!

We hope you enjoyed (and learned something!) from our last tutorial videos of Crochet Provisional Cast On and Kitchener Stitch, now we have another to show you, the Three Needle Bind Off.

Pom Pom Presents… Three Needle Bind Off! from Pom Pom Quarterly on Vimeo.

A Three Needle Bind Off is a special cast off that not only gives a neat seam, it also provides structure as it doesn’t stretch. Which is why you’ll see it used to join the front and back pieces of knitting and make a sturdy shoulder seam in tops like Catchfly (left) and Windlass (right).

Cover stars of Pom Pom’s past Greco and Tambourine also favour this easy finish.

So why not have a go? We’ll have another video in a month featuring a how to of the Afterthought Technique.

And the beautiful yarn that you see in the videos? That’s the lovely Spud & Chloë which has been provided by our sponsors Blue Sky Fibers. Huge thanks to them for their support!
