It’s official, we are into intarsia! The latest in our video tutorials will help you get to grips with this clever colour change method in no time at all.

Instarsia allows you to knit blocks of colour and unlike colourwork or fairisle, no strands of yarn are carried along the back of your work. You’ll also be able to find this tutorial beautifully illustrated in our Summer 2014 Issue.

You can use this technique to create the colour blocks in the striking Palindrome wrap from Issue 19, and also classic Pom patterns such as  Sombra and for the pineapple magic that is Ananas! It’s also found in the Vivo mittens, which involve a few extra tricks to work the technique in the round, but have a go when you’re a little more familiar with the technique, and you’ll be as excited about these nifty little mitts as we are!

We’ll be bringing you the final tutorial video for this year very soon – a introduction to brioche! Delicious!

And the beautiful yarn that you see in the videos? That’s the lovely Spud & Chloë which has been provided by our sponsors Blue Sky Fibers. Huge thanks to them for their support!
