FREE! NEON LOVE MITTS: POM POM X MILLAMIA

Neon Love Mitts - Pom Pom Quarterly x MillaMia

It’s a dull and dreary day here at Pom Pom HQ in London. Typically we’d be moping around, wishing we were curled up on our sofas watching retro murder mystery shows on repeat – but today we’ve got something to be cheerful about! Bright and happy neon colours are on the top of Pom Pom’s current “favourite things” list, and luckily our pals at MillaMia have waved their magic wands and made them appear in yarn form!

Pom Pom Quarterly: New Limited Edition Colours from MillaMia Pom Pom Quarterly: New Limited Edition Colours from MillaMia

Lime and Cobalt are their first ever Limited Edition colours and boy do they pack a punch! We wanted to show off the Lime (we’re suckers for a “grellow”) and also throw in one of their new permanent colours, Berry. We rounded out the team with the oh-so-versatile Putty to create some crochet fingerless mitts we think evoke our love for neon in a fun way!

Neon Love Mitts - Pom Pom Quarterly x MillaMia

So here we have our Neon Love Mitts. They’re puffy, they’re bright, and they’re the perfect antidote to a dull day. Best of all the pattern is free! Get yourself some Lime (it’s Limited Edition after all!) and whip yourself up a pair of these cosy mitts. You’ll have happier hands in no time.

Just wondering what the yarn weight is suggested for this pattern? Worsted Weight or a #4?

    • pompommag October 29, 2013 at 10:55 pm #

Hi Angela, MillaMia is a sport weight/DK yarn. Hope that helps!

Lovely, but i don’t arrive :( i don’t undestand all i think if we stard with 32, then double puff st every 3st end with 11 double puff st with only 1 st left? Must be 33 or 30 ?

    • pompommag November 25, 2013 at 11:03 am #

      Hi Elena,
There is only one st left after the last (11th) puff.
The pattern will still work out with only 1 st left, or you can fsc 33 to begin with if you like.
      Thanks!

  9. KK December 27, 2013 at 4:18 pm #

I was wondering do you have to use the same kind of yarn she had or can you use other balls of yarn like loops and threads.

I’m needing a little help with the thumb hole. Where it says last 6 sts. Does this mean the last 6 puff stitches or are you counting the ch 1 stitches as well? Thanks! Can’t wait to wear these!!

    • pompommag January 2, 2014 at 4:51 pm #

      Hi Tiffany,
The last 6 sts means the very last puff stitch section and the ch 1 sts either side. I hope that helps!
