That iconic knitting duo have done it again! Hot off the press and marking its 5th year is the latest volume of Interpretations. The patterns from Volume 5 are now live to view on Ravelry and with pre-order print copies shipping from PPHQ this week, there is plenty to be excited about!
Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki say, ‘everything has evolved in these five years: we have reached a certain confidence as designers that might not have been there before‘. Of course, they have kept their concept the same, choosing 6 inspiring words for the starting point of their patterns: Bliss, Ground, Shelter, Movement, Explore and Rough.
For an additional special touch and to celebrate this anniversary volume, they decided to collaborate with twelve hand dyers, “Every yarn and colourway was a perfect interpretation of our mood“. Dyers include Hedgehog Fibres, Eden Cottage Yarns, Madelinetosh, The Uncommon Thread and more from around the world.
Adventuring out to Patagonia for the photoshoot meant a wild and dramatic landscape to compliment the knits – which lend themselves surprisingly well to hiking around forests, rivers, and mountains!
Many of you will remember that this time last year saw the release of Volume 4, and after a sell out year we’ve reprinted this popular volume. A limited number are available now to add to your order of Volume 5.
We’ll be bringing all twelve samples with us to Edinburgh Yarn Festival 15th – 17th February, and plenty of books too. If you can’t wait until then for your Interpretations fix, Joji and Veera are taking over the Pom Pom Instagram account from 1st March, posting stories from their retreat at Hill Country Weavers and the launch of the new volume!
Join in all the fun on the Interpretations Ravelry group where you can share your projects.
