As we ready ourselves to send copies of our winter issue all over the world to inspire your next knits, one KAL ends and another one begins! Haven’t entered a Knit Along before? Well now is the time – here are the (very) simple rules

1) Knit or crochet a project from any issue of Pom Pom or our blog.

2) Any project is welcome as long as you haven’t entered it before.

3) Post updates, pics, notes, comments, oohs and ahhs etc in this thread, and post a pic of your finished item in the FO thread.

4) At the end of each season we choose a winner (or more than one winner!) at random from the FO thread, who will receive some wonderful prizes!

Prizes you say? Yes, up for grabs we have two skeins of Local Color Fiber Studio Rambouillet Sport dyed with Indigo.

You might win some Isager Highland Wool to make the Alula shawl from Issue 19.

Or you could win a skein of Shalimar Breathless DK to make the Vanishing Point Mittens, also from Issue 19.

Don’t worry if you’re still finishing those stitches it’s open until Sunday 23rd October so you have the weekend to add your project to the FO thread.

As always, we love to see what you have been up to in our KAL thread, so here are some projects that have caught our eye so far!

Lots of you have been knitting Vaara from Summer 2016, we love these versions by three Pom Pom-ers who have all gone for beautiful shades of blue.

As always there has been an excellent selection of autumnal wraps and shawls, including this stunning version of Florence by Fadenfee2.

Truffleshuffler’s Fjordland One and Two

Sometimes you love a pattern so much you’ve got to knit it twice and that’s what Truffleshuffler did with Fjordland.

bethgaard's rocquaine

bethgaard’s rocquaine

A pop of cherry red for Bethgaard‘s Rocquaine makes it look extra colourful and cosy!

sippan86’s Tambourine

Also looking very happy with her Tamborine is sippan86.

ailib00's Olivette

ailib00’s Olivette

And an autumnal Olivette by ailiboo (with the ideal seasonal accessory!) which we had the pleasure of seeing not just on Rav but in person at Rhinebeck too in all its glory!

We hope to see your projects joining the FO thread soon! If you miss this one, we’ll be starting our winter one next week so if you don’t have anything on the needles yet check out our Issue 19 preview for inspiration.

I always love listening to your podcasts. The most entertaining hosts ever! My favorite podcast is Pomcast 23 with Cecilia Campochiaro. She is such an interesting woman with a varied and unusual background. Thanks for a wonderful podcast.
