Pomcast 77 – Lazy, daisy, hazy knits of summer

Hey Pomcats! Those lazy, hazy days of summer are just around the corner, so why not take a little break and put your feet up with an episode of Pomcast?

This episode is sponsored by Yorkshire Yarn Fest. Since 2019, they have brought together crafters from all over the world with their virtual festivals which take place live on Instagram. You can also join Yorkshire Yarn Fest for their third in-person event this month (May 2022)! A celebration of all things yarn, wool, and fibre, their next event will be on the 28th May, so do check out yorkshireyarnfest.com for a list of exhibitors. HELLO!

This episode we’re talking about the cultural delights of the Hayward Gallery, as Lydia and Sophie have both recently seen the work of Louise Bourgeois which is on display there. A must for any textile and sculpture lover!

Meanwhile Lydia is working on her own artworks for her MA project and hoping she can fit in some sewing plans to make Saguaro, a co-ord set by Friday Pattern Company.

POM POM NEWS!

It’s no surprise that we’re totally jazzed about Issue 41! We talk about some of the patterns we’re hoping to cast on including the Keswick wrap and the Streamers pullover. We’re also looking forward to trying new techniques with the Lateralis socks and Lackadaisical mitts. Speaking of, don’t miss out on our exclusive Issue 41 merch which features the mitts' daisy motif!

WHAT ARE WE EXCITED ABOUT?

A full cinematic experience was had by the duo recently and they discuss the epic Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. Don’t miss this incredible blend of martial arts, comedy and multiverse adventuring!

Thanks for listening! We’re taking a break from recording for the summer but we'll be back in August with the next season of Pomcast!
