Knits About Winter

Ok, so we’re not perfect – who is? Here is the errata for any misprints in the first edition of Knits About Winter. Of course, if you find any yourself, do let us know!

Update September 2019 –  A note for you Knits About Winter knitters, we’ve reprinted this book which has also meant an update to the PDF!
This second edition includes a greater range of sizes, with all garment patterns now graded for 55’’ chest. We’ve also updated the pattern text to resolve any glitches that have been flagged so far.

Please ensure you download and knit from the updated version – easily identified as ‘Second Edition’ in the PDF file name. If you’ve already redeemed your download code from your print copy, you will have received an update notification via your Ravelry inbox.

PIECE ONE – Back

Set-up row 2 (RS): K26 (26, 28, 28, 30, 30) sts, place locking marker in next st, k107 (119, 131, 143, 155, 167) sts, place locking marker in last st worked, k26 (26, 28, 28, 30, 30).

Establish St st Panels
Next row (RS): K to marker, SM, [p1, k1] 6 times, p1, SM, k to end.
Next row (WS): Work all sts as they appear to end.
St st and centre ribbed panel are established for Back of Piece One. Maintain ribbed panel as set, slipping all markers as you pass them.

Rejoin Left and Right Fronts
Continue in patt as set until work measures 18.5 (18.5, 20, 21, 21, 23.5) cm / 7¼ (7¼, 7¾, 8¼, 8¼, 8¾, 9¼)” from locking stitch markers placed at neck cast off row, ending with WS Row.

Front Band
Next row (RS): K26 (26, 28, 30, 30) sts, place locking stitch marker in next st, k107 (119, 131, 143, 155, 167) sts, place locking stitch marker in last st worked, k26 (26, 28, 30, 30).

Stitch Glossary

RT: Insert needle into second st on LH needle, knit this st without slipping it off the needle. Knit first st on LH needle and slip both sts off needle.

LT: Slip 2 sts kwise, then slip them back to LH needle putting a twist into the second st (the first st being slipped back onto left-hand needle). Knit into back loop of second st on LH needle (this is the twisted st) without slipping it off the needle, knit first st and slip both sts off the needle.
