Free Pattern: Pine Sway Cowl by Juju Vail

If you joined in the festive fibre fun that was the Pom Pom Christmas Party, you'll have been one of the first people to receive our exclusive pattern, the Pine Sway Cowl. Even though the holidays are over, we're keeping that generous holiday spirit going throughout the year by making this pattern a free download for all!

Designed for us by our talented Pom Pom pal and photographer Juju Vail, Pine Sway is a generous size with a slouchy fit, giving us something to snuggle down into when the weather turns! The fun garter ridge stripes lead into a slanting herringbone band that gives the cowl its flattering cape-like shape.

Pine Sway uses The Fibre Company's Cumbria Worsted, a gorgeously woolly blend of merino wool, brown masham wool and mohair. This pattern takes just two skeins, our sample uses Grizedale Forest and Helvellyn, but we can't wait to see what combinations of Cumbria you use for yours! The saturated heathered shades of this yarn are just the thing for wintery cowls! If you fancy learning more about The Fibre Company while you knit, make sure you check out our podcast interview with founder Daphne Marinopoulous.
