Free Pattern: Pom Pom Garland

Hello there!

Here at Pom Pom HQ (PPHQ for short) we have been enjoying pom poms on strings.  We have dubbed them pom pom garlands, here is a picture of one:

If you have ever wondered how to better integrate pom poms into your life, a pom pom garland is one way. Decorate your walls, halls, hair, and trees!

So now we bring you pom poms, poms for the pom people! If you want to make your very own pom pom garland...

You will need:

- Yarn, we have used Jamieson's Spindrift, which works very well, but of course most scrap yarn will do. Just avoid anything too silky.

- Bakers twine or string, or even some strong yarn!

- Scissors (we found small sharp scissors made pom making easier)

- Pom pom maker / cardboard

- Darning needle

Making pom poms is very quick and easy, we used a kit, but if you don't have a pom pom making kit, you can use the cardboard circle method... here is a handy pom pom making guide:

We made about 24 pom poms, 3 in each colour. Then, using a darning needle threaded with twine, we threaded the pom poms onto the string one by one. The result is something akin to pom pom bunting:

We hope you enjoy your pom pom garlands! Pom on!
